Who we are
Bahrain Blood Donor Network is a non-profit humanitarian initiative based in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. All infrastructure costs are covered internally. There is no paywall, no premium tier, and no advertising.
Hospitals apply to become partners through the hospital portal. Admins at Bahrain Blood vet applications and grant access.
What we do
We maintain a secure registry of voluntary blood donors across Bahrain and connect them with partner hospitals the moment a specific blood type is needed. When a hospital admin submits a request, our matching engine identifies eligible donors by blood group, location, and availability — then reaches out via WhatsApp, SMS, or email within seconds.
Not a healthcare provider
Bahrain Blood Donor Network is a coordination platform only. We do not store, test, or handle blood products. All clinical screening and medical decisions are made by the Central Blood Bank of Bahrain and our partner hospitals. We connect people — hospitals do the medicine.
The Central Blood Bank of Bahrain (CBB) is the Kingdom's primary authority on blood donation safety and eligibility. All donations facilitated through this network are conducted under CBB protocols.
Our mission
Eliminate preventable death from blood shortage in Bahrain. Every unit of blood donated through this network goes directly to a patient whose life depends on it.
Funding
Bahrain Blood Donor Network is self-funded by MSS Technology Company W.L.L. There are no partnership fees, no per-request charges, and no advertising revenue. This is a humanitarian service.
